Justice League Comic Con Trailer

Oh my god the Justice League is coming. After Batman Vs. Superman I thought I'd never say those words and mean them in a positive way. A lot of that movie didn't stick with me and a lot of people (and I will revisit and review that when my ultimate edition copy arrives tomorrow) so much so that my girlfriend refused to watch this flat out and I had to practically beg my best friend to sit through this and the Wonder Woman trailer. Fair to say, once she did, she was pleasantly surprised. I one the other hand was jumping off the walls! Cause ladies and gentlemen this shit was awesome. So the opening shot is of Bruce Wayne, out trying to recruit Arthur Curry's Aquaman. Quick question, when everyone else was watching this did anyone else think, how the hell did they make Aquaman so badass? Cause holy shit have they pulled this off. He's nothing like I thought Aquaman should be but everything that he needs to be to fit into a world like we have here. And the casting is p...

Ghostbusters

Okay so Ghostbusters is the hotly anticipated remake of the 1984 classic this time directed by Paul Fieg and starring Melissa McCarthy, Kirsten Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate Mcinnon as the title team and Chris Hemsworth as their receptionist Kevin. Now this has got a lot of hate from A LOT of people. It holds the record for the most disliked trailer ever on YouTube and I sincerely hope that was because people were afraid of this movie damaging their nostalgic view of the original and not that as many people have suggested it stems from the female lead cast. I on the other hand have really been open about it from the beginning. I thought the trailer was okay, not great, but I was not a fan of the Fall Out Boy single accompanying this film. So I was glad when that wasn't really featured. I'm just going to get this out of the way and it's one of the few complaints in the comments section of YouTube that actually did come true. There is no logical point from a narrative perspecti...

X-Men Apocalypse

X-Men Apocalypse, directed by Bryan Singer and starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Oscar Isaacs and... Well... A shed tone of others who I'd spend forever to list. It tells the story of Apocalypse, the first mutant, way back in ancient Egypt, who has risen again and is hell bent on causing apocalyptic nonsense. Why? Well... I don't really know. The motivation behind Apocalypse's actions, just aren't really there. He rises from the grave, enslaves 3 mutants or "horsemen" who are kind of forgettable as one another. Oh, and Michael Fassbender's Magneto. Who we'll get back to later. This is my biggest problem with this movie and one I've been trying to put into words for a while now. I can't think of any other way to put it other than, "Apocalypse was shit." That's the unfortunate by and large of it. They took Oscar Isaacs, an actor I really love, and turn him into this massive purple mess of a monster with no discernible mot...
